Keith Linhares is frustrated by the national political scene. That frustration he feels, and says a lot of people feel, is one of his motivations to run for District 1 Worcester City Council. Linhares wants people to be able to get back to a sense of community and that at the local level we can work together on things that transcend national partisan politics. Among the issues he hopes to tackle are housing and safe streets. Linhares also speaks with Talk of the Commonwealth about civic engagement and goes into some of the differences between himself and his opponent and how they see the job of District Councilor.
